Deputy Mike Walizer ended his tour of duty here on earth on Saturday morning while doing what he loved. (EOW 3/31/12) Mike loved Charles City County and was extremely proud to serve it's citizens as a member of the Charles City County Sheriff's Office. He truly loved his family, his God, his co-workers and his profession. I am sure he will be on duty at the right hand of God keeping watch over all of his law enforcement family and certainly his own loving family. Mike your brothers and sisters in Virginia Law Enforcement miss you and we will take over the watch here until we see you again. RIP brother, your tour of duty is complete and your duties here are done. God Bless.

I met Mike thanks to my wife and his wife getting me to go on a ride along.
Though I didn't know him for more than six or so hours, he made you feel like you knew him for a life time. We spoke about my interest in Law Enforcement and how I should come to his department. I told Him I looked forward to working along side him. He spoke of His love for the Lord and his wife and children. We shared stories of my combat tour in Afghanistan and his tour in Law Enforcement. I felt like he was my friend, I guess that's the kind of man Mike was. I will dedicate my career in Law Enforcement to Mike and His family.
