I had the priviledge of knowing and working with Deputy Barbara Pill for about 16 years. Barbara was a very nice, feeling person, who worked hard and was very professional and fair in dealing with others. Her death is a tragedy and a loss for our agency and our community. Our society needs to find a way to keep the dangerous criminals, such as the individual who is alledged to have taken Barbara's life in prision so that they can do no harm.

Dupty Pill, you were there during Mine and my daughter and families worst time. You stood by me in court and had me stand up and face the man who I never thought I could. You will be missed by me and my family. You were an amazing Sheriffs advocate to me and I will never for get all you did for me and my family.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends and your fellow officers. Rest in Peace!

It is sad to loose a love one who thinks they will return home at the end of the day. She was in the midst of doing something she loved (getting the bad guy(s) , but only to face a gunman who was ruthless in his actions.
My prayer is to her family and police family, follow her legacy she left with you. Before leaving for work or home say a prayer over yourself and others for protection.
God Bless!

The Lord's Prayer Words
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

Even though I only met you a few times, you exuded the utmost professionalism and dedication to our profession. You displayed courage and compassion all the way up until your tragic and untimely death. I know your sons I went to school with Jeremy and have met Ryan and they will both contine to fight the good fight in your honor. It is always sad when a fellow Officer or Deputy is killed but hurts that much more when its someone you know. Godspeed, we will carry the watch from here. I know you are at rest now.
