Reflections for Trooper Tony Vian Radulescu

Tony, Rest in Peace brother and may GOD look over your family and the WSP.

It is a terrible terrible thing to loose a brother in arms. We have recently lost an officer to a senseless act of violence. I makes me deeply sad to hear that we have now so recently lost yet another brother in blue. I continue to pray for the officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice and for the families and friends that are left with a sudden void. May we all find a piece of peace. My 9 year old daughter wrote "Always show peace and love. Love, Teresa" I'm trying baby, I'm trying.

Your body maybe gone but your spirite lives on and I'm a firm believer that you are now a guardian angel for your family, friends, and your fellow officiers. May you rest in peace and when your family feels that warm wind on the tips of their ears or neck may they find comfort knowing that you are blowing them a kiss from heaven.

It's sad to hear of yet another law enforcement officer killed in line of duty. It is made worse because again the person who killed him should not have been loose in society.

The family of a good man has to live with a senseless death of a loved one.

As a retired Seattle Police Officer of over 30 yrs. service I morn the loss and am angry with a Justice system that allowed it to happen.

I will never claim I can relate to what law enforcement officers go through on a daily basis, but I do claim to realize I will never understand, as I have not walked in their shoes.

As an administrative support specialist with the Portland Police Bureau Crisis Response Team, I won’t walk in their shoes because I don’t have what it takes to survive the emotional and physical trauma it can create.

I can’t imagine a world without law enforcement officers.

We can take them for granted because people like the officer who risked his life on State Route 14 are willing to accept the risk inherent in law enforcement. They were willing to wear the uniform, and do a job that makes them targets for the kind of people we don’t want to deal with.

Our world would be less dependable and our lives less tranquil if people like those brave men and women weren’t there when we called. Saying thank you hardly seems adequate, but it is worth saying, and worth remembering.

Thank you for giving your life to save ours.

This really breaks my heart. I am a father of 3 and I can't imagine the pain that his family has to go through without such a fine man. People are often negative towards police officers but you have to realize that while we are sleeping they are keeping the us safe, watching out for us, keeping the criminals out of our homes. I am so very sorry. Trooper Tony seems like such a fine man. You can see it in his eyes. Rest In Heaven Trooper Tony. THANK YOU WASHINGTON STATE POLICE.

Rest In Peace Tony Radulescu. May God take care of you and your family. You'll be greatly missed.

"A River Wide and Deep"

In shirts of blue in the dark of night
They roll to wrecks and danger
Before the aid car arrives on scene
They comfort injured strangers

Troopers are the idol of children who dream
Of one day driving a white troop car
Kids want to be like the troop with a car so white it gleams
But how things look in life is not the way things are

A trooper rolls to things that most never want to see
It’s a blue shirt first at every crash and every kind of scene
It’s the broken glass and crumpled metal and bad fatalities
And a uniform dirty and wet, far far from clean.

A trooper with a few years on
Has seen the best and the worst in people
And the number of friends the trooper trusts
Dwindles down to digits single.

Oh, lots of people talk and brag
That they are going to become a trooper
But when the chance is on the table,
They choose to be a plumber.

There are a few, a vital few,
Who wear the badge and live the life.
Who work the nights and weekends too
And don’t complain though the cost is high.

There are those that talk and those that do
A river is wide and deep between the two.
Lots of troopers pay the price
And proudly wear the shirt of blue.
