As we memorialize you and other fallen officers this week, I am reminded of how many people loved you and and miss you. You made such a difference in life, but you're still making a difference now. I am honored to have been your wife for 40 years. You will never be forgotten. The wait is long for me, but we will be together again.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections.
Rest In Peace.

I am honored to have had the privilege of calling Jimmy Brooks my friend. I will never forget his bright eyes, his sweet smile and his loving kindness. A great family man, a great law enforcement officer and a God-fearing Christian man. I know that today he patrols the streets of gold keeping watch til we come home. Your legacy lives on! Love you, my friend! Til we meet again!

I had the pleasure to work with Mr. Brooks for ten years in Madison and I will say he was truly a great officer, person, friend, and mentor. Every time I see a police motor unit I thank god I had the pleasure to work 10 great years with such a fine man.

A great honor and tribute to a great man. Me and my father were on the motor unit together for 8 years before he was taken from us. Where you saw the two of us patrolling the city on bikes now to me having to ride alone. He was my father, my friend, and my partner. I love you Dad and you will always be remembered!!!!
