Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Security Policeman Nicholas Jerome Alden

13 years later you are not gone nor forgotten to your successors and wingmen. You have paved the way forward and made a great impact on a lot of new Defenders. Regardless of what people say about the field, we know the sacrifices you made, up until the ultimate one. Rest easy brother.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

Nick! I just realized you're on this page. I remember our day on patrol in England when we went to S4 and you were told you would be an alternate for that deployment. I also remember that fateful day...and I will never forget it. Thank you for your service, Nick. I promise, you won't be forgotten. Miss you bud.

I had the great honor of running in the Law Enforcement Memorial 5K today (05-12-12). The bib I received was in Memory of Nicholas. I never met Nicholas, but what an honor it was today to run in his memory.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace.

I had not heard of this terrible incident. Thank you for serving our country and all Americans should know of your sacrifice.

Rest In Peace.
