I was serving in the Army when you were killed in this tragic accident. You were one of the older guys when I was growing up in the Pollyberg area of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. You set a great example for the younger guys like me. May God bless your wife Brigette ( my former classmate) and your child.

To my 2nd cousin LeRoy Swan, even thought I did not have the great pleasure of meeting you in person, I thank you for protecting the land that you lived and grew up on. You are most definitely a hero.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect and you will always be honored and revered.
