I AM A WARRIOR

I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.

To the family and friends of Officer Sandra Aiken, her fellow officers, and most especially to Sandy:

We honor your service to your community as a police officer and you will always be remembered and revered. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Officer Rogers was killed. May her loved ones continued to be supported by their law enforcement family and other police survivors. Our family grieves with you and for you. To Sandy's family, ,you are in my heart's embrace today.

We are not even through the month of January and there have been three deaths of female law enfocement officers. All needless and horrible crimes that have left devastated families and agencies in their wake.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the many years of distinquished service Officer Rogers gave to her community and the citizens of South Carolina, and the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on January 28, 2012.
