My PRAYERs are with the family of Sergeant Barbara Ester. May GOD place his healing hands upon her husband and comfort him as he goes through the hardest time in his life. As for the convict I say take the same shank and do unto him as he did to her.
The death penalty is a joke now days as more and more states opt not to use the DEATH PENALTY due to the cost but MY QUESTION IS HOW MUCH IS AN OFFICER'S LIFE WORTH?

God bless Sgt. Ester, her family, and co-workers. My co-worker was brutally murdered here in Florida years ago. CO Darla Lathrem was a young woman with a vey strong moral character and faith. I have no doubt that she will be there to welcome Barbara into heaven. My heart goes out to all who knew Barbara.

Why was a convicted murderer anywhere but maximum security? Another perfect example of why we need a death penalty in capital cases. This is an unnecessary, and tragic loss of a C.O. God bless the family of this officer.

Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
