Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff William Hauley Coleman

We are at war; a war against anarchy and injustice. It is a battle worth fighting...for the civilized world depends on the strong to defend the weak, to protect the oppressed from tyranny, the victim from the predator. All who wear the shield must grasp the imperative to stand resolute in the vangard of freedom. Deputy Coleman will not be forgotton and others will carry the torch. Rest in PEace.

Condolences to all friends, family, and co-workers.

Dean Nyhart, Major
Arizona Department of Public Safety

Once again evil has raised its ugly head to attack and destroy the very fabric of honor. This Deputy has not died in vain but will live on in the hearts and minds of those fellow LEOs that know too well the pain of sacrifice. God rest his soul and I pray for peace in the hearts and minds of those who have been left behind to grieve

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

Rest in Peace. My thoughts and prayers for understanding and comfort to his family. Thank You for allowing him to stop the evil from taking over. God knew of his heroism and I have faith to know he is now watching from heavens gates making sure that the sacred grounds are not violated but that all are welcome. I would not be surprised if he was running checks on all that showed up at the gate.

TO: The family; loved ones; friends and department members: A POLICE OFFICER’S PRAYER : O, gentle Lord! Keep the day / night watch with me. As I begin my tour of duty, I ask your protection from all mental, physical and spiritual harm. Sustain me with the knowledge that I am doing your work, endeavoring to keep peace among your people. Help me to be just as I enforce the law without prejudice or favor to anyone. May I be courageous but not reckless in carrying out my duties. Let me respond to all calls with haste realizing that so many are dependent on me for life and safety. Support me with your consoling power when I am tempted to think that no one really cares and that I am taken for granted. Sustain in me the conviction that so many thousands do care and are grateful for my presence. Grant that I may be loyal to my partner and my fellow officers, and that I may back them up effectively when called upon for assistance. Lord, I ask that I may return safely, after my tour of duty, to my loved ones and those who love me. I pray that I may be a good and honorable police officer; and after my tour of duty is over here on earth, may I enjoy the peace and happiness of heaven that you have promised to those who serve you well. AMEN. ** REST IN PEACE**
