I had the pleasure of going to school with him in East Aurora, New York. He was the kindest person I have met through my life. There was always a smile and the kind of person you could always talk to, no matter what it was. GOD BLESS HIM.

Stumpy was a great man and a great officer. I met Stumpy when I worked at the Detention Center in Newport. I remember the big tall guy walking in with that smile and the laugh he had. I helped carry my friend and brother to his final rest. You are missed till this day my friend.

Stumpy, you were not only a great officer and confidant but you were a great friend, who would do anything for anyone, especially the kids. There are still days when I wouldn't mind talking to you or hearing one of your great jokes or hearing how proud one of your children made you. You were the best, Stumpy and you are still greatly missed by all who had the privilege of calling you friend.
