That is never a good thing. I am proud to say that POLICE of any kind are the ones I RESPECT the most. They are the ones we all call when we need help. It is a dam shame that this has to still happen in the world.

Just a guy.

To the family, friends and colleagues of US Park Ranger Margaret Anderson... Please accept my sincerest condolences in your loss. She is a true hero and was a positive asset to the law enforcement community.

I have lost several personal friends in the line of duty, and after having been retired for almost 18 years, I still grieve for them and their families, and I miss their friendship - but each and every one will remain remembered in my heart and mind for as long as I live.

My wife and I have a couple personal friends that are US Park Rangers serving in Yosemite National Park. They, like all Park Rangers that I have been blessed to have met, are truly dedicated to their families, their service, their country, and the natural beauty and protection of the resources of this country that have become a part of our National Park Service.

May God comfort and bless Ranger Anderson's family and friends, and give each of them a peace that passes all earthly understanding.

RIP Ranger Margaret Anderson.
