As a retired NPS employee with 32 years service I am so deeply saddened by Mrs. Andersons death. The citizens of our nation have lost such a valuable resource to such a senseless murder. The blame lies with the VA who failed in their treatment of the veteran. I am so deeply sorry that this has happened and the loss that it has caused. It creates a void that will not easily be filled and we should all be aware of that. The children of this murdered mother suffer a loss that is incalculable. I am so very very sorry!

Eric "Prairie Dog 1" our thoughts and prayers are with you. Deb and I are so so sorry. We carry fond memories of our working together with both you and Margaret during your "early dating days" at Bryce Canyon as well as watching her father join the two of you in matrimony. May these fond memories be the tool that helps you get through your times of grief. We are here for you if you feel the need. Deb and "Prairie Dog 2."

I am an Eatonville resident. While I did not know Margaret personally, I know many who did and they are truly devistated by her passing. Looking at her picture I can tell she is a warm, kind, happy, loving person. My heart and prayers go out to her family, especially her husband and young girls. Please know, Eric, that you are not alone. While you pain and loss may be greater than most, you are not alone. Please reach out to those around you that are so willing to lend a helping hand with whatever you may need, even if it's as simple as a shoulder to cry on and ears to listen. I can only imagine how devistating this must be for all who knew her. She is in Gods hands. Turn your sorrows over to Him and you will make it through this. Much love and sincere condolances.

I share my tears for Margaret's family & friends. She is a hero in the true meaning of the word. Please honor her with your own healing as best you can. Accept that you will not be the same and allow yourself the normal emotions you are having in response to the abnormal event that has grasped you.

Margaret was a coworker and a friend. When I was new to the Park Service she welcomed me to the NPS family and made me feel I belonged . The last time I spoke to her was before she left for Mt. Rainier. She was so excited to be going there and for her families new life. Margaret you will be missed by those who knew you and our lives will be a little less bright without your trademark smile.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ranger Anderson and family. It always seems worse when it is involving someone who swore to protect Americans, and not take from them.

Margaret Anderson you were top of our NAU Seasonal LE Academy. We shared our first two seasons at Bryce Canyon learning the job. Without you I would not have gotten my master's degree. You were a great Ranger and an even better person. You will be missed. Eric I am sorry I never met you but I have only heard great things. My heart and prayers are with you and your children.

My heart aches for the loss of Ranger Anderson and the grief her family is experiencing right now. My family knows first hand how painful and difficult this is and will continue to be. We lost our family member, Pierce County Deputy John Bananola to gunfire in 1995. Her husband and daughters are in our prayers.

Margret took great joy in working with our Boy Scout Troop who went winter camping at Paradise. She would always check on us to make sure we had no issues overnight (especially when it was below zero) and always liked to share stories of her children.

We are devastated to learn of the Anderson Family's, and our country's, trafic loss. Our hearts are with you at this very sad time and we will pray that your family will have the support and strength to recover and honor the memory of its valiant mom and wife, Park Ranger Margaret Anderson. My deepest sympathgies to the husband and children of the Park Ranger so tragically taken at a young age.
The senseless killings of innocent people just never seems to stop. The world appears to be more insane and dangerous every day.

Thoughts and prayers to the family, especially the two little girls who must now grow up without their mother. I am the mother of two boys--- ages 4 and 21 months, and I simply cannot imagine being ripped from their lives in a violent way and leaving them behind. May God's love envelop this whole family during this tragic time, and always.

I met Margaret in graduate school. She was a dedicated, loving friend. She was one of those friends that was there at the exact moment that you needed someone. She lived her service and loved working at the park, but she loved her family more. I can't begin to tell you what a loss this is, but I know she wouldn't have left her family if she didn't think they would be alright. I loved my friend, I loved her baby advice and I will miss her more than words can express. Thank you for being in my life and making me a better person.
