Reflections for Park Ranger Margaret A. Anderson

So sad and tragic. I served as a seasonal interpreter during college and my mother was a park ranger for 21 years. My prayers go out to the family and all the NPS family for this senseless loss.

As a seasonal Park Ranger, I have many NPS friends who are law enforcement officers. They are indeed special, protecting park resources as well as park visitors. It is so sad that someone as young and dedicated as Margaret was killed. Such a callous act. My heart goes out to her family, coworkers and friends.

A police officer should be remembered not by how she died, but how she lived! A great woman has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the National Park Service. Rest in Peace Sister.
