Here we were at the ranger station at park entrance this morning wondering why we were turned away and all the ranger in the booth could say is it was the worse day they have recognized in all park history and he was sorry he had to turn us away but it was for our best. Little did we know such a tragic loss had just happened my heart has been weighing so heavy ever since and I cannot stop crying for the loved ones left behind. I only hope and pray justice will be served and this Benjamin Barnes is found and he will pay for such a horrific, senseless crime.
I am so sorry for all of you whom loss such a wonderful human being today. Please give her kids and husband the heartfelt sympathy I cannot ever imagine......

I did not know this park ranger, but I am sure I speak volumes on the behalf of others who did know this loving mother and wife. Will this insanity ever end? I wish to offer my prayers to the families and friends of those deep in sorrow over this tragedy. Those closely affected are not alone in this time of mourning. The North American public is outraged, deeply touched, and praying to give families and friends the strength to endure what's ahead of them. I am a Canadian, and work as an editor for the daily newspaper in Red Deer, Alberta. It does not matter how many times I read about, or have personally experienced such challenging incidents, it's never easy, ever. We always search for answers. But those answers always elude us. On behalf of all my co-workers, I pray for families and friends of Margaret Anderson. While we may be strangers, we are all human, and such pain can be equally shared. My heart goes out especially to her loving husband and her two wonderful children. I am certain the three of them were the diamonds of her life. While one's first instinct is to strike out with anger and revenge, and justifiably so, it is in my prayers the family and friends of Margaret will unite and afford them the strength to endure these horrible consequences as best as they can. There will always be the question of "why?" But that can be answered only by God, with whom Margaret and her family have entrusted in their Faith. I pray you take strength in the fact Margaret is now at Peace with our Lord, and watching over her family. Again, my sincere condolences. There was no way to predict the outcome of this incident. None at all. May the Peace and the Power of the Holy Spirit embrace you all. Thank you for your time and the opportunity for me to comment.

My heart is breaking for Ranger Anderson's family & friends, & for our wonderful national parks & their devoted caretakers, our rangers. Who among us, as a child or an adult, has not delighted in a ranger talk around a campfire? We have all lost something precious. Send not to know for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee.
