You answered the call even when it was not your call to take. You stood the line that separates good from evil and you and put yourself in harms way to protect others. You exemplify what makes us special, a different breed. God bless you sir. I shall pray for you at the wall.

I met John while serving on the Major Crimes Task Force in Iraq. He was an first-rate agent. I'm not in the least surprised that he would intervene in a robbery w/o hesitation. May God bless and comfort his family during this tragic time.

The bugler’s call of Taps
Your day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well,
safely rest,
God is nigh.
Warrior, good night,
but must you go,
When the day,
And the night
Still need you so?
All is well.
We will carry you
to your rest.
Go to sleep,
peaceful sleep,
May the warrior,
God keep,
Safe in sleep.
Fades the light;
And afar
Goes the day,
And the stars
Shine bright,
Fare thee well;
Day has gone,
Night is on.
Thanks and praise,
For our days,
'Neath the sun,
Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As warriors go,
This we know,
God is nigh. •

To Agent Capano's Family:
As a young widow myself I sit here in tears for you and Agent Capano. There are absolutely no words to even begin to comfort. From the bottom of my heart I am so sorry. Tragic. May John let you know that he is in peace and guiding you forever, as I believe my husband did for me. Everyone will be grieving in different ways but as long as you all stay together there will be nothing you can't do as a family, and I'm sure it would make John a happier soul. Again, I am so deeply sorry.
To Agent Capano:
I am so sorry that you had to leave this cruel world like that. Helping people till the very end. May you punch a hole thru and let your family know in some way that you are safe and you'll be there for them... I know you can do this, as I truly believe my husband did for me.
I cry as I salute you, kind Sir... GodSpeed.
