My prayers are with the family, friends, and co-workers, of Agent Danny Knapp. At this time of terrible loss, may you remember, it was his life that made him a hero, not his passing. He is at peace.

o the family and friends of Special Agent Daniel Knapp, his fellow agents, and most especially to Danny:
We honor your service to your community as a police officer and you will always be remembered and revered. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Daniel gave his life to save another in the line of duty. It is obvious he was well-loved by many and well-respected by his peers as reflected in the loving reflections left for him.
May his loved ones continued to be supported by their law enforcement family and other police survivors. Our family grieves with you and for you. To Daniel's family, you are in my heart's embrace today. I share his parents anguish in losing a beloved child which surely has to be life's greatest sorrow.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the many years of distinguished service Daniel gave to his community and the citizens of our country, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on December 29, 2011.

Daniel was, for lack of a better word, the perfect boyfriend. He may have saved Hector's life that day, but he was my hero way before. The way he lit up my life with his kindness and selflessness, his great sense of humor and his desire to always choose the right. I was so blessed to have met him and I feel extremely fortunate that he chose me to share his last months alive.
I miss you, D!

What you did was very heroic, the kid who was saved is saying he's being tortured by the fact that you died saving him.I really hope your family give that kid comfort and help him understand that you died being a HERO. There's only a few people who are willing to die to save the life of others.
