As roll call starts, they look around,
Thinking... wondering... not making a sound

Officers wait standing in formation
They protect societies across the nation

A name’s called out, no answer…. what’s that about
He is gone, past on, the sergeant shouts

He standing beside the lord you see
Uniform spotless, buttoned up to a tee

How could this be, he’s left to soon
There is a void within this room

This officer gave us strength...coply advice
Advising, counseling, sometimes twice

Be safe out there were his words to us
Having our backs, that was a plus

We took his words and learned how to be
Like other Park Police throughout history

He served his country with honor and pride
We each try to hold back the tears we cry

We mourn him now and with family grieve
He’s with God now, taking his leave

So rest in peace, our brother in arms
Watch over us up there and keep us from harm

There are no words to truly comfort the ones left behind. There are only the memories of a loved one who served his country and his community. May those memories be cherished and may God bless and watch over his family in this time mourning and the years to come.

Rest in peace fellow officer.
