Loosing you Peter is like loosing a family member. I never met you personally, but I have met and worked with thousands like you. The only solace I can offer is that your family will ALWAYS KNOW that you were a HERO in every true sense of the word. May God watch over your partner who chased down your murderer to bring him to justice. Now that your Watch on earth has ended, go and patrol the gates of Heaven. When I get there, I'll be sure to stop and say Hello. RIP Brother Figoski.

I have been retired from the New York City Police Department for 21 years and every time one of my fellow Police Officers is murdered, I suffer inside. I realize how lucky I was to have served for 20 years and I was able to survive.
I feel for his family and friends and I pray that he rests easy and in peace. The feeling of brotherhood never leaves you. As they say, "Once a cop, always a cop".
He is in my prayers as well as his family.
