Reflections for Detective Peter John Figoski
My prayers are with Peter, his family, friends, and co-workers. No words can soften the blow that you all have had to bear this week. I hope that it is some comfort for you to know that so many people have a deep appreciation for the good work that he has done during his career. You can be proud of the contribution he made to his community.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14: But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
We will see you again Hero! Walk your beat in Heaven until we arrive. You will be missed by many. I never knew you, but I feel the loss just as deep. You will always be my Brother.

"Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen."
I pray for PO Peter Figoski, as well as his members of his family. I pray for all of our beloved fallen brothers and sisters, as your sacrifices will forever leave the legacies for a safer and brighter future.

To the family of Officer Figoski and to the members of the NYPD:
You do not mourn alone today. Know that your brothers and sisters of the Miami Dade Police Department feel your loss as well. Officer Figoski paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting the victims of a Home Invasion Robbery. A noble hero he is. May God have you next to him and look down on the rest of us.

hopefully God leads you to a beautiful place away from the horror of how your watch ended and to your four daughters and wife, our prayers are with them always. being a close friend of fallen NJ state trooper Marc Castellano, any officer killed in the line of duty shows love and pride for his job and willing to sacrifice everything he has. anyone with true heart proves it and obviously officer Figoski has given more than all of his heart to his career of saving lives. may God bless him and all of the people who he left behind.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My father was responding to a robbery at a JC Penny's store in my home town of Hutchinson, MN and was shot in the head as he turned away from the suspect to make a phone call for back up. This was on Dec 15th 1989, I was 11 years old. Tomorrow, Dec. 15th will be 22 years. Christmas will always be bitter sweet to me because of this. The holiday season was forever changed. may God Bless you and your family. What helps me get through my day is to remember that my dad was just on loan to me and my family by God. God needed him for some reason, that reason I will never know. I feel your pain and I wish you all the best. There is an awesome support group that we are a part of called Concerns Of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) they do good work and are a great source of support, mentally, physically and financially if you need it!
My best,
