My interaction with Rick Rhyne was brief but memorable. About 7 years ago, while he was still the Chief of Police at Foxfire Village, he contacted me about a kids fishing event he was putting together. He drove over a few days later and picked up our loaner fishing rods and other supplies for his event. Several days after the event he brought the rods back but he had decided to make rod holders to store and transport the rods back to me. We still have those rod holders at our storage depot today. From now on, I will always look at those holders and think about Rick Rhyne. Thanks for your service to the people of Moore County and the State of North Carolina. Godspeed...

Another day another officer.
Another brother I have never met,
Another family filled with a terrible sadness.
My heart breaks, my eyes fill with tears.

Rest in Peace my brother
You may have gone to the Father
But you will never be forgotten
Yes but for the grace of God go I.
