Officer Buddy Ray Herron is a brother I did not have the privilege to meet, however he has walked beside us all. The caring giving man who spent his final moments on this earth being compassionate to another human being. We see his actions in each other, the stories of his concern about his fellow officers and his devotion to his family. We have lost another light, but I pray we do not allow his light to go out. Every memory that is shared, every story that is told will honor his life. My prayers are with his wife and children, I know they have a heavy burden to bear, may we all as a supporting extension of this family hold them up and share that burden.
