Your heroism and service is honored today, the eighty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

My father was in some hellacious gun battles in his lifetime, but any day the Chicago Police Department lost three officers in the line of duty was a bad day, and the day these three officers were lost in Macomb must have been unimaginable.
Rest in peace, peace officers...
