My thoughts and prayers go out to the Slot family. I know being a police officer you put your life on the line everyday, but no one really expects the worse to happen. I know there is alot of sadness right now, but there should also be a lot of Pride for this officer for putting his life on the line each and everyday to serve and protect our people. May you Rest In Peace Det. Trevor Slot. You will not be forgotten!!

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this fallen officer. I know there are no words that will put you at ease. Just remember, you will have a family of officers to help and hold you through these tough times. Officer slot will always be remembered and never forgotten.
"I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom."

Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Slots family and friends. Although we are not in law enforcement our family extends our most sincere appreciation to all those who serve communities both near and far. Your dedication to serve the people of your communities is greatly appreciated and not recognized enough. Incidents of this nature are never understood but the legacy of all officers lost in the line of duty lives on forever in our hearts!
