Reflections for Deputy Collector William Henderson Foote
Officer Foote
I have to say that your courage and conviction to enforce the law, and to do the "right thing" in this instance is impressive indeed. In that day and time, there were those who did not uphold the law, or treat other Americans equally, in the eyes of the law and our Constitution. Thanks for doing the right thing and doing your duty as prescribed. You are a hero who deserves our admiration and respect. I would have liked to have known a man such as yourself.
