Reflections for Deputy Collector Thomas L. Brayton
Thomas L Brayton used his position to force hardship on families in Pickens SC if history articles are correct and the family in the home at the time fled and were respected in the area of the U.S. they settled in . That happened 150 years ago and 15 years after the civil war. Had the war ended like WWII when the allies supported the recovery of Germany and Japan- history would be different even today

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 132nd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
Phyllis Lasater Loya

Deputy Collector Brayton,
Sir, it has taken 130 years but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country-not just as an LEO but also for your service in the Union Army during the Civil War as well.
