Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

RIP Officers Armstrong. God be with your family, friends, and the entire Rapid City PD. This is an enormous tragedy. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your fellow officer and the critical injury to another officer. You all sacrifice your safety and lives to protect and serve the community...and do not get the recognition you deserve. My heart pours out to you all. God send you all peace. What a loss to have lost you. However, I know that when the people of of Rapid Citty see that Black and White, they will stop and think of You and James and the price YOU paid. I cannot thank you enough for being the Men and Man you were. As the Marines Say" Semper Fi" (Always Faithful). The city and citizens of Bismarck ND were so distressed to hear about the officers down in Rapid City just shortly after we lost our own officer to gunfire, Steve Kenner.
All I can say is this:
If tears could build a stairwell and memories were a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you hame again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye...you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. Our hearts still ache in sadness, and secret tears still flow, what it means to lose you, no wone will ever know.
With deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Nick Armstrong, the Rapid PD and the citizens of the city of Rapid City.
