Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Kyle David Pagerly
To Kyle's family, I bow my head. I am now a LT and no longer a canine Officer. I still have my last retired K-9 . I know the bond that no one but a K-9 Officer can experience.I can no longer thank you for your service. But I can thank your family left behind and the new baby born of HERO bloodlines! I like Kyle, was Military Police Office that serviced in a combat area. And I also became a Sheriff K-9 Officer. America lost a very select person in a very special fraternity. Law Enforcement.

All of us never know at the beginning of the day if we will go home at the end of our shift.
You gave the ultimate sacrifice so others could be safe. You are a true hero.
God bless you and hold you dear.

Until we meet again....

When Kyle came to our department several years ago, he brought an aura of respect and a warrior spirit that could not be duplicated. I have never met anyone with the perfect balance of fitness, common sense and intelligence as Kyle displayed. He set his focus on his goals and never let anyone or anything get in his way. Kyle was always very proud of his work, family and friends, but never boasted about them.
Kyle, your loss is devastating, but your legacy will always inspire. We will all miss you dearly. May you rest peacefully in God's arms.

We are losing too many brothers and sisters to senseless acts of violence. We all take the risk everytime we put on the uniform and only by chance we come home to the ones we Love.We train and train but there is always one thing that change our lives. I can only give my sincerest sympathy to Ofc Pagerlys' wife and family and pray that you find the peace that he will always watch over you. RIP Brother.

"He laid there dying, his partner at his side, his dog would not leave him no matter how he tried. The two were a team, that's the way they were, one of flesh, the other of fur. They did their job to their very best, when shots rang out they passed the test. They gave it their all but one did fall, the man with his dog, he answered the call....." kf
I dedicate this poem to the memory & legacy of Deputy Kyle Pagerly. God Speed Deputy, Heaven awaits your arrival

Kyle...
Thank you Brother...for the ultimate sacrifice. Rest easy and in your own way, be there for the others that will follow you.
Doing your job, as you would tell it too, does not make your a hero or someone to be revered as special on high. But Kyle, it does render you into a special group to be looked to with pride and admiration for what you gave...
Not know you doesn't matter to me. As I feel as though I do by way of the special bond that exists amongst our breed. Just know that there are many of us that are proud as hell to be considered part of your family...and that we will not forget the price you paid Kyle. We won't.
I will prey tonight for your family and hope that you will somehow reach-out and provide them the comfort that they seek through this event. Take care my friend. And save me a seat...
Amen to you Kyle...

ASCENSION
And if I go,
While you’re still here---
Know that I live on,
Vibrating to a different measure
--behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
So you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together again,
--both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest,
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
…I will be there.
