Officer George was on his way to heed the call of a fellow officer. If one has to pass on it is doing what every LEO would do. My sympathy to his family and friends and fellow officers. In reading these tributes he sounds so much like my husband, the personality and experience. I am not sure heaven can handle them both. I am sure he was greeted by all his police family. To his widow and children I know your pain. Lean on your police family, they will always be there for you.

RIP Russell George, Brother we will truly miss you. I can remember when we used to just sit and talk and laugh, I can still hear your favorite slogan "CRACKPIPE YOU HEARD" even though your stay with PAPD was short, I feel as if I know you for a life time. I'll miss that smile, the laugh, but most of all I'll miss you. Until we meet again take your rest brother, 'THE WATCH IS OURS NOW".
