I would just like to express my condolences to friends and family. I'm so sorry for your lost. He had a great impact on the community and will be dearly missed by many friend and family. I was shocked to hear the news of Stg. Curleys passing. Although i've never spoke with him, I feel he was apart of the family just knowing he was out there protecting the community. At the meeting tonight I heard so many great stories of this individual that went above and beyond for his family and the community. He did amazing and unthinkable things that no one else would have gone out of their way for. Now he is with our creator and is waiting to meet us all again someday. ;) RIP Darrell. See you later.

In the 11 years of working in EMS field I had the opportunity to work with you on many calls. I will miss hearing your voice on the radio and your teasing. My prayers are with your family to have the strength and courage to move forward without you. May you rest in peace and god bless all Police Officers who protect us and respond to our call for help. You will be missed my friend.

When you lose your husband, father, son, brother or an uncle we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why he left this earth so soon, or why he left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that he died, but he lived. And that his life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
God saw him getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched him, and saw him pass away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your husband, father, brother, son and uncle Sgt. Curley.

To the family and co-workers of Sgt. Curley,

I have traveled through the Navajo Nation many times on my way to Utah to vist family. I was always amazed at the stark beauty of the landscape and had an admiration in my heart for the people who lived and worked in the Navajo Nation. My admiration really went out to my fellow Law Enforcement officers. To be able to serve and protect a people who have such a rich culture and wonderful heritage along side Sgt. Curley must have been awe inspiring. Reading all of the reflections of his friends, citizens and co-workers proves that it was. Although I never met him, I can see by all the postings here what a wonderful and caring officer he was. Hopefully younger officers can aspire to be what a fine servant Sgt. Curley was.
