Reflections for Sergeant Darrell Cervandez Curley
Sgt. Curley,
Thank you for your support and prayers. I will always remember the last time I saw you in Tuba. You expressed your concerns and your support. You told me to trust God and it will all work out for me, Well I did and it all worked out for me. I am proud to have served along side with you. My prayers are with your family and crew.

Oh what joy that heaven received a new angel. Though his departure here on earth is sad but what great memories he left us. Though we never said good byes, we know the day he left, we were on his mind. He answered a higher calling and that someday we too will do the same. But our time and job is yet unfinished and our brother would want us to continue and go on with faith in His word. Yes, it may seem hard at times, but life must go on. To those that remain, keep your head up high. You are never alone. God is with you all. To the family, keep hope. To his fellow officers, keep faith. Stay focused and not let the trials tie you down. Keep focused on what God has for you for that is all that matters. What we go thru should be the least of our worries. What God has is more important. You may not always understand what this means but simply, God loves you and He would never put you thru what you can't handle. There is a greater reward for God's children. Justice shall prevail because God's army surrounds all. We are under the shadow of His wings. Love and prayers to the family and friends of our brother, Sgt. Curley.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

ASCENSION
And if I go,
While you’re still here---
Know that I live on,
Vibrating to a different measure
--behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
So you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together again,
--both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest,
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
…I will be there.
