My condolences to your family in their time of need. God will look after them, as He and Chesty will look after you, Brother. Not everyone can do our cut in life. Our Marine Corps was enriched by your service and your dedication to our country, and New York was made that much safer by your service there. Whether it was fighting our enemies abroad or the enemies of society back home, you've fought the good fight and our world will be a better place for your service and sacrifice. Rest easy, bro! You are a hero to many.

I watched some of the ceremony for Kurt on livestream yesterday. We may never understand why things happen, but God promises that He will work all things for good to those who believe on Him. As a born again Christian, Kurt is assured his place in Heaven. God was certainly glorified through Kurt's life and even through his death. I wish I had known this fine young man, but I know I'll meet him one day. Anything my family can do for his wife and children, we will certainly be there. Thank you for your service and sacrifice, Brother.

My personal condolences to the family both personal and professional of this lost hero. We feel the sadness that accompanies the death of a fellow officer round the country and this being no exception.

I am a born and raised in Oneida County, the Sheriff's Department was revered and respected in my home and by me. The interactions I had wth the Deputies helped to shape my life!

Kurt, you served a hero's life to the end I will do my part to ensure that the country you loved is secure. My fellow Law Enforcers have it from here friend. You rest and know your family is secure.

The motto of the US Border Patrol is "Honor First", Kurt showed us all exactly what those words mean to those that live the life of an LEO.

May God give comfort to the wife and family of Kurt!

Rest in Peace Brother!

Kurt, what can I say that has not already been said. What impressed me the most about you was you not only knew your scripture, you lived it in your everyday life. "Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself". This you did. We will miss you greatly, miss seeing your smiling, quircky smile across the street. We will take care of and watch out for Lauren, Zander and Adyson. We will mow your lawn, take out the trash, we will........miss you

Kurt,
You said you wanted to be hero to due the best you could.
You said you wanted to rid the world of evil and do little good.
You stepped up and fought fight not many understood.
You said that we shouldn't worry but I think you knew we would.
You always treated everyone with kindness each and every day.
You treated others with respect it didn't matter what others said.
You lived your life for Jesus and your family.
It's true what others say you always be a hero in each every way.
When they got the call you paid the ultimate price.
You died trying to save another person's life.
You behind a fine example of what it meant to love your enemy.
Even though through our tears it's to see.
You died while being what you've always wanted to be.
Here you now lie our hero in blue for everyone to see.
May God reward you as you now in Heaven reside.
May the pain your family has slowly fade.
May God bless them in each every way.
