Kurt,
While training you, you shocked me with your wit and ambition. I learned from you when you were supposed to be learning from me. You were a good "boot," and I enjoyed the 12 plus weeks we spent together, since your training was interupted so that you could serve our country, and rightfully so. I enjoyed working along side you, and the times we had (even when you sprayed the pepper spray in the locker room!) I remember the racoon you hit while driving and it scared the daylights outta me because I was looking in the other direction. Although, it didn't top the time you hit the complainant's parked car when we arrived for his harassment complaint. I have so many memories of us, and of you, and I was proud when you became Rookie of the Year. It was so well deserved.
While in Knoxboro, you beat me to the call by just minutes and had already confronted the suspect. You had already started talking to him and you tried to get him to surrender. I was there, and I watched and listened to you. If I didnt know you, I swear you would have had 25 years on the job. Everything you said was right, and I was again proud.
I love you my brother, I cant believe this happened. Our other brothers and I will look after your family, and the suspect will be brought to justice. I have no doubt. I dont need to ask you to look over us, because I know you will. But for now, we have the watch so you can rest. I miss you dearly. More than you will ever know.

There are no tears that can be shed for the loss of an officer, father, loving man who defends a woman, or a child from abuse. They cannot pay the debt we feel for having been the cause of someone else standing in the way of the anger and terror we lived in. We, the victims, cried alone for so long....but Never did we want another to bare the wrath of the insanity we faced. May you live on in the hearts of those who still champion the plight of the victim...a modern knight on his shining horse.

Kurt, you made it heaven before your time. Now you look down on us you have left behind. Know that we of your family who survive you will keep your name and reputation alive, and most importantly of all watch and care for your beautiful wife and your two children. They shall lack for nothing materially. But we can not replace your smile, laugh, or godly character. Your absence leaves an unfillable whole that no one else can fill. May God give each of us His comfort for what was taken from us. Thank you to all law enforcement officers, fellow Marines, friends, chaplains, and pastors who have written tributes to my nephew's life and christian testimony. I read them when tempted to think that Kurt died for nothing. Even though facts about the murder are scetchy right now, I extend my forgiveness to the man who took my nephews life. You sir, are responsible for a great opportunty for my nephew's life, actions and beliefs to be made known to millions. Kurt knew that Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Each and every thing he said and did was to show his love and service to the Christ who died for him. My tears are countless. I can only imagine how Brian and Lynnette (his parents) are coping. Sweet Lauren, his wife, who loved him so much, must be broken with grief. I know the Wyman and Boersma family are also stricken with the pain of this loss. God knows the suffering of each one, but gives more grace when the burdens and sorrows grow greater. Sleep in Jesus Kurt. Uncle Mark

My heart breaks for Deputy Kurt Wyman's wife and children. It is so sad that a truly honorable and courageous officer's new baby girl will never get to meet her father. I will keep his wife, kids, and family in my prayers. I cannot imagine what his wife/family are going through right now. Know that you will have a lot of support from all over the country. Thank you Deputy Wyman for your service to our country, rest in peace.
