Reflections for Master Patrolman Jefferson Taylor

God Bless you brother, God needed you more and he knows all. Rest in peace Bobby Nelms, Deputy

For Master Patrolman Jefferson Taylor:

The risks taken by law officers are many when in the course of serving and protecting the public. Sometimes it is not an encounter with law-breakers that takes an officer's life, but rather a natural situation. In either case, it is a tragedy to lose a law officer especially in process of providing a service to others. We regret receiving the news that Jefferson would be the next law officer to die in unuual circumstances during a storm.

We pray for Jefferson's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.

We are proud to render Patrolman Jefferson Taylor, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police

I want you to know the bond of brothers (and sisters) in law enforcement never ends. That is no surprise to those who serve and make the ultimate sacrifice as Officer Taylor has done. This will be hard to believe by some rather for religious beliefs or not but my husband served 20 years with the NYSP and 10 years part time with a local police department. Unfortunately he suffered a heart attack at 59 and passed away. Several months later I contacted a medium and spoke to him as if he were having a cup of coffee with me. When I asked who greeted him, his reply through her, was a very long line of men to shake his hand. I knew in my heart it was his fellow officers and those he served with in the military.

My prayers are with his family and coworkers.

Widow of NYSP Investigator

To die in the service of his fellow man is never a life wasted. May Jeff's Blue Blood forever run through all who carry the Badge.
All our prayers and support must now turn to the family of our brother left behind.

I was in the Academy with Jeff. He was always smiling and had a true love for law enforcement. His willingness to help others is what I remember the most. It is evident this carried on throughout his career, as he was helping all of us in Joplin with the tornado search and rescue effort. Jeff you will not be forgotten. Rest In Peace Brother.... We've Got The Watch Down Here....
