Reflections for Captain Ralph Vester Braden

May God be with the family and friends of this hero. Domestic violence calls are some of the most dangerous types of calls that officers face.

While I did not know Captain Braden personally, I have worked with some of his officers and the Morgan County Sheriff's Dept on a few cases. I was an Investigator for the Oneida Police Dept for 15 years working with DV victims and child sexual abuse cases. My prayers for the family and fellow officers. He answered a call that many of us in rural areas respond to everyday. This man will be greatly missed.

Thank you for your service to your community. I know what your brothers and sisters are going through with this. It was only 5 years ago when we in Roane County lost one of our hero's. I hope that everyone will remember that you gave your life doing what you loved to do and serving your community. Which to me there is no higher honor.
