I knew RJ...... I was an inmate from 98-02 and a couple more stints throughout the 2000s....RJ was quiet, reserved, showed up to do his job, and go home.....he never went looking to cause problems, very professional......RIP RJ

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I miss you old friend, I remeber when I saw the news, I remember the man who taught me to count in East Hall all those years ago, and I remember you by speaking your name to the hundreds of officers that I have trained since the day you trained me. God's speed RJ, rest well brother.....you've earned it.

They better kill Boston Bomber (Dzhokhar Tsarnaev) and Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. Now. Before someone in Grand Forks or Fargo area and works in Grand Forks AFB or Minot AFB might do an air strike over Terre Haute, Indiana.

Officer Johnson,
You risked your life daily to make sure that innocent people would not be harmed and while doing so you ended up making the ultimate sacrifice. I am glad to hear that the men who murdered you were found guilty for their crime. Thank you for the 23 years of service that you dedicated to ensuring the well-being of your community. You will forever be remembered as a hero and will never be forgotten. R.I.P

Brother RJ:
Your brothers and sisters from across the border- Minnesota, and from all over the country will long remember and never forget your sacrafice. Everything I heard form your family, friends and co-workers reaffirms the adage;
They are not heros for how they died.
They are heros for how they lived.
We will always have the watch, God bless you, your family, and all of our brothers and sisters in the SD Dept. of Corrections.
Rest in peace brother.
