Reflections for Sergeant James Timothy Chapin
As a widow of a fallen LEO, I can empathize with all that Sgt. Chapin's family is suffering through. My very deepest condolences to his family. Please know you are not alone. Our loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice for those of us who remain here. I feel your pain and wish I could make it easier for you. Just know that he is walking the beat in heaven, amongst the chosen ones by God, to protect us from above. Heaven does not separate us from that thin blue line...it just extends it. My prayers to the family, Sgt. Chapins fellow officers and all who have lost a loved one protecting us all.

To the family of Sergeant Chapin, Though we may never meet this side of heaven, may God grant you the peace necessary to awaken to each new day. The sacrifices that Sgt. Chapin made will live on long beyond this date. May the court grant the offender no mercy.

For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.

I am so blessed to have known such a wonderful man. We shared some great times, from sailing the Bahamas more than 20 years ago, through serving side by side for so many years, and finally to discussing life's problems, last Thursday. Debbie will be there for Kelle, if she needs her. Sallie and Olivia will be there for Allison and I will be there for Nick. Go Rest, now my brother, your work on earth is done. Go to Heaven shouting: Love for the Father and the Son. I love you man !

My heart aches for the Chapin family. Heaven has welcomed another angel home. Having been raised in a family of Civil Servants I know what a "family" all involved are. All fellow officers involved in this case are in my prayers also. Blessings.

Thank you for your service Sgt Chapin. Even though your death is a tragedy in itself, it is also a tragedy for these dangerous and violent individuals to continue being released from prison early without serving their full sentences. Your blood is on their hands and I hope they are paying attention.
