I had the honor of working with Sgt. Tim Chapin during my years with Chattanooga Police Dept....and he was truly a great person and officer. Our hearts are broken, but we will continue the work he dedicated himself to and we can do it with pride always remembering the hero who left all too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with his home family and his police family. Thank you Tim for your service!

Thank you Sgt. Chapin for your service and sacrifice to the community for which you served. Your legacy will carry on for many more years. I pray for your family that God will grant them peace, love and strength as they prepare for their future without your leading the way. You are truely a Hero in the greatest sense on the word and will be missed by not only those who had the honor of being called your friend, but by a grateful community that you sacrificed so much for! Sgt. Chapin will be missed by everyone at the department and many in the city. Those of us that worked for him will always have a void that can not be filled. He was a supervisor that never forgot where he came from. He supported his Officer's in everything they did in and out of the department. He was someone to look up too and to strive to be like. I will miss you Sgt. Chapin and will always be proud to have worked for you. My heart goes out to your family. Love always.
