Why such great people like yourself, who live your life to serve and give to others, to make us safer and be able to enjoy our families, is unknown. I can't help but look at the picture of you and see your smile and think about how your loved ones will miss such a wonderful smile. You're a hero because of the way you lived not by the tragic way you passed. May we all honor you and keep your loved ones and you in our hearts, may God bless you all.

I first met you at the police academy while we only spent 3 days together during the SFST's. I remember you and your academy group being one of the funnest. Your commitment to your country and then to community made me feel honored getting to know you if for only a few days. You accomplished so much in your short time here more than most will do in a lifetime. I pray for your family and your department at the tremendous loss that they must feel.

Craig, I have to say your tribute and visitation this evening was heart-wrenching. You were clearly a hero amongst heroes - and called home too soon like so many are. Watch over us from heaven, as we will keep watch over those you love and never let them mourn alone. Rest in peace.

May i go now? Do you think the time is right?
May i say goodbye to pain filled days and endless nights?
I've lived my life and done my best, an example i tried to be.
So can i take that step beyond and set my spirit free?
I didn't want to go at first. I fought with all my might.
But something seems to draw me now to a warm and loving light.
I want to go. I really do, it's difficult to say.
But i will try as best i can to live just one more day.
To give you time to care for me and share your love and fears.
The memory of the times we've had will take you through the years.
I'll not be far..I promise that, and hope you'll always know,
My spirit will be close to you wherever you may go.
Thank you so for loving me, you know i love you too.
That's why it's hard to say goodbye and end this life with you.
So hold me now; just one more time and let me hear you say
Because you care so much for me. you'll let me go today.
