I transferred to Sandusky approximately two and a half years ago. Andy was one of the first police officers I met after my transfer. He immediately made me feel welcome. Andy invited me to come and play basketball with some of the other officers in area. I thought it was kind of funny since I'm a pretty short guy. I told him that I'm not very good at basketball, but he didn't seem to care. I believe he genuinely just wanted me to feel welcome. I know there is nothing I can say to make this tragedy any better, but my condolences go out to his family. God bless you, Andy.

GOD bless you Officer Dunn. we will continue to pray for your loved ones. Godspeed. You are a hero sir, and will never be forgotten. we do our job knowing that the worst can happen. i know you are in heaven now but rest in piece sir, because we have the watch from here. didn't know you but i have much love in my heart. we will meet oneday. until then i know heaven is a safe place with you there. for the last and final time, Officer Andrew Dunn is 10-7 10-42. Officer Dunn {Andy as i knew him} will be sorely missed in this community, ive been an acquainted with him since his days as an officer @ Cedar Point PD. Little guy, big heart.
