Reflections for Police Officer Andrew Scott Dunn
Andy,
I woke up today for work, and had a very hollow feeling.....like something was missing, or something was wrong. As I drove to work today, I thought about you.......and then it hit me. 1 year ago today we laid you to rest. As I sit here and fight back the tears, I say to myself....today is going to be a hard day. I will try to stay strong. I miss ya!

Hard to believe it's been a year since that terrible day. I will always remember the few times I was around you, how your attitude and smile just brightened everyones mood that was with you. You are certainly missed but never forgotten...

Andy, I can't believe it's been a year already. My heart is very heavy today. But know that we all miss you very much. This still doesn't make any sense to me. We may never know the answer why you were taken so soon. We will gather tonight with family, friends, Brothers and Sisters to honor your memory. Sleep well, my friend! "#2083!"

Dunn, Almost one year since we lost one hell of man. Having a C.P.P.D. reunion in your honor on Saturday. Just thinking about how much I wish you could be there.
Been watching this show called I survived beyond and back. These people tell their stories of how they died and what happened when they did. Almost all of these people did not want to come back to life. Their stories are amazingly comforting. It allows me to know what kind of great place you are in now. See you on the other side man.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Sandusky Police Officer Andrew Dunn. I would also feel remiss if I didn't mention the comfort extended to other law enforcement families by Officer Dunn's father despite his own loss. May your service serve to steel the resolve of those in the law enforcement community. God bless you and may you rest in peace.

We honor your service to your community as a law enforcement officer and you will always be remembered and revered. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Andy was killed in the line of duty. It is obvious he was well-loved by many and well-respected by his peers as reflected in the loving reflections left for him.
May his loved ones continued to be supported by their law enforcement family and other police survivors. Our family grieves with you and for you. To Andy's family, you are in my heart's embrace today. I share your parents' anquish in losing a beloved child which surely has to be life's greatest sorrow. As we are fast approaching both their first Christmas without you and your eow anniversary date, they are all in my thoughts and prayers during these difficult days.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the years of distinquished service Andy gave to his community and the citizens of Ohio, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on March 19 , 2011

I feel so sad that people have no respect today. Kids are running wild and fathers not around and too many police officers being killed leaving their children behind. I am trying to help victims by trying to get the message out to have new laws for repeat offenders put in place. Please help these officers who are killed so sencelessly by signing my petition on F/B to help keep repeat offenders like TIm Sheline put away for good. My prayers to Officer Dunns's family and friends.

So many things to say...
Recently it has been 6 months to the day that you were taken away from us. Every time I go into shift, there is always an "Andy story" that makes us think of you and all the great times that were shared with ALL, not just here at SPD. I remember when I started at Cedar Point, you were the "go to" guy for everything. From teaching me how to even talk on the radio, to backing me up, to laughing at me and finally laughing WITH me, I miss you sorely brother. Thank you for everything you did in the short amount of time you were with us and I will NEVER forget it.

Its been 6 months Andy, and I have never posted here. I wouldnt call us best friends ( although you meant so much to me), but you were always there for me! A friend and brother, I think of you every day, and it seems unreal that you are gone!
I drive by Tyler Street often, and think of that day every time! I carry on because I know you would have carried on too, you give me strength every day Brother! RIP 2083!

Andy,
I know I have not said much since you left, but I want you to know you are missed!! It is bitter sweet as I wright this...... five months to the day, that you were taken before your time.....I still mourn your loss, but will try to celebrate my promotion to Sergeant. I remember the times that we worked together and the the passion that you had for for this job. I recall all the times when I didn't want to stop a car "because it was raining", but you convinced me to anyway(because we might get the bad guy!). I'm still not sure that I am doing the right thing, but I can hear you in the back of my mind saying "come on you have to take the test, we need a good supervisor!" Rest in peace and know you are dearly missed. Love you brother!!!!!!

Andy,
I miss you daily! I sit here at work and think of you, and all the good times that we had together. I think about the times that we went out with everyone. The times we had at Cabanna's. The one and only time that we sang Karoke together!! lol. All the times we chased shop lifters together. Words can't express how much I miss you! I'm sorry I let life get in the way, and didn't talk to you as much as we used to. I called you a week before all this happened.....wish I would have gotten to speak to you. I've been going to the camp ground and hangin out with everyone. I'm sure you see everything that's happening. Your father and I have become good friends. I see the kids and Jules sometimes too. Everyone misses you so much! There are times that I break down.....like now......I try to keep it together, but I can't be strong all of the time. When I think of you, I sit and watch all of the memorial videos that people have made in your honor. They usually bring me to tears, but I guess its to be expected. I promise to always be here for your family! I will never forget my friend! Wish you were still here 2083!
