Reflections for Deputy U.S. Marshal John Brookman Perry
To Deputy Marshal Perry's family:
My heart is saddend greatly to read this. All the reflections from people that knew him, if only briefly, shows what kind of man he was. There are no words of comfort here. I am a fairly young widow so I can relate somewhat when someone is taken from you in a second. Please be strong for each other and lean on each other thru these difficult days. He is truly a hero. I am so very, very sorry for yur loss.
To Deputy Marshal John Perry:
Your picture shows a great man, a caring man. My heart is so heavy...You do shine thru your picture. I am so sorry for what has happend to you. I know you will be keeping a watch on your family now as they cope with this tragedy. Than you for your service, you will never be forgotten.
I salute you, GodSpeed Sir.

John,
Although we were not close I had the pleasure of working through the academy and in D.C. with you for a number of years. I know you had some very close friends in the Marshals from your years in D.C. and fo rthem my heart aches. I hope that your family can find some comfort in the fact that you, "The Falcon" will be watching over all of us and when it is our time to join you I hope that you will have a seat at the bar waiting. Rest in Peace.

I met you and had the honor of working with you on a detail in Santa Barbara a few years ago. We quickly became friends, but I understand that was not uncommon. You were blessed with a magnetic personality and a sense of humor that caused people to gravitate toward you, and I consider myself a better man for having known you. Rest in peace my brother. Rest in peace.

John you are one of the funniest, nicest guys I have ever met. I will miss you brother. To this day I still can't believe you had the guts to turn that essay in on your promotion package. Working along side you in Super Court was an honor. Rest easy brother.

Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
