Our hearts grieve with you, at the loss of your magnificent warrior and friend. May God grant each of Fred's family, his department, and the community he served a glimpse of heaven's kingdom, seeing an able bodied champion walking up to the throne of his Savior and Lord, kneeling before The One from Whom blessing and honor and glory abide. Fred Thornton - "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joys of the Lord." May each of you receive God's holy comfort and peace as you mourn his passing.

This earthly journey is but a stepping stone into an eternity where love awaits our arrival. "Let not your hearts' be troubled, neither let it be affraid, for in My Father's house are many mansions, . . . I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:1 (Jesus speaking personally to each of us)

God bless you all. Our prayers are with you today. Amen

RIP brother. Your service was both long and honorable. To have served as long as you had and still be on SWAT showed that you had both courage and character.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family of Officer Fred TTHORTON. As officers we all feel a great loss when a fellow brother/sister falls in or out of the line of duty. We are all apart of one big family and will always be in danger every time we put that uniform on. It takes a special kind of person to be a police officer. Officer THORTON was a hero in life, and in death.
