Sgt. O'Connor, yesterday marked the 58th anniversary of your tragic demise. No doubt that drunk never intended for anyone to be harmed, he just didn't want to go to jail. However, his actions DID bring about harm and I hope it ate at him for the rest of his life, then true justice was served. It wouldn't bring you back and all who knew and loved you best suffered the loss, but it would be a small bit of closure.
Brother, especially on this date, I hope you are resting well and that you will for all eternity. God Bless.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 52nd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
