To The Family of Sgt. Rosenthal:
I wanted to express my profound sympathies to your family, friends and colleagues. Your death after the five previous tragedies in Florida this year left me with goose bumps. Your bravery and dedication to duty and to your family will never be forgotten. My dad was a New York City policeman for almost 40 years with the 102 precinct. Rest in peace and Olav Hashalom Sgt. Rosenthal. I am sorry I will not be able to attend your Inspector's Funeral at Cong. Kol Tikvah. The words kol tikvah mean literally the voice of hope. We cannot put into words what your loss means to your family, hopefully the voice of hope and giving back to the community as you did will stand forever as part of your fine legacy.

As a father of five children, I pray every day that I never leave my family unexpectedly. My prayers now go to these children so that they may show the people around them the strength they received from their father. My condolences to the friends and other family members so that they may watch over Adam's children as their own.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends. I attended a narcotics officer convention in Delray Beach and you guys were very hospitable. I enjoyed my stay and hope to return to your city in the future.

In addition, I want to mention that I recently was in a car accident that occurred on my way to drop my kids off before going to work. I thank God my kids were ok. I suffered a broken femur, hand and wrist. My heart goes out to you guys.

Don't think of them as gone away, their journey has just begun. Life holds so many facets, this Earth is only one. Just think of them as resting, from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days or years. Think of how they must be wishing, that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can... really pass away. And think of them as living in the hearts of those they touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and they were loved so much.
