Just a very sad day for all of us in the Marshal Service. Rest in Peace Brother. I will keep those closest to you in my thoughts and prayers-family-friends and those of the district of W/VA . You will always be remembered and never forgotten-we will carry on your memory.

“We little knew that day that God was going to call your name,in life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.”

God Bless

Doug Skutka
Deputy US Marshal SC

I send my heart felt sympathies to this brave young man's family and his fellow co-workers. I have worked with the U.S. Marshall's service on different occassion. Giving them assistant whenever needed. It is heartbreaking to me when a fellow law enforcement officer goes down. No matter how it hurts. God knows your pain and suffering. He cries with you, but he also wants you to know that he is with you. Through your hard time right now. I know that losing a loved one or a co-worker is very difficult. I have been there. May you have peace and comforting from all who cared. My prayers are with you and yours. God Bless.
