I am so sorry for your loss. How sad it is that people cannot obey the law to move over for law enforcement officers. People are in too big of hurry to take a little time out of their day to get over. how hard is it?
Thank you Officer Califano for your service. I live my dream of being a police officer through you and through all law enforcement officers out there who put their lives on the line each and every day to serve. Thank you to you all.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

For Police Officer Michael J. Califano:
Our duty as patrol officers entails added risks that are not part of the day of every law officer. When patrolling in traffic we occupy one of the most dangerous of battlefields - a United States highway. We regret that our brother Michael would meet with his demise in yet another tragedy involving a simple traffic stop on a busy highway. Fate apparently has deemed it to be so.
We pray for Michael's family, friends, co-workers, and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to each other in the time of need.
I am proud to render Officer Michael Clifano a final salute.
