Reflections for Special Agent James Maurice Bostick
I want to thank each of you for the kind words of reflection honoring the life of my father, James Bostick 47 years ago. I was only 17 years old when he was murdered. He left one son, Mark, who passed away in 2017, and two daughters, Kay and Rosemary.
My thoughts and prayers are with each of you that have experienced the pain of losing a loved one.

Agent Bostick, my Father was a Police Officer for the New York Central Railroad for about 5 years before leaving to join the PD of my hometown. I know from some of his stories the risks involved in being a railroad cop are as prevalent as in any LE job. It's infuriating that this happened to you and frustrating in not knowing what happened to your murderers. I take comfort in knowing in my heart that those filth faced true justice, if not in this life, then in the next.
On this solemn 43rd anniversary, I wish you a peaceful rest and God's Blessings, not only for you, but for those who still feel the pain of your being taken.

Special Agent Bostick was my "Daddy Jim" and I was 4 when he was killed. I remember my grandmother crying that morning the call came as she sat in her bed clutching her rings. She told me he had gone to be with the angels. I loved him very much.

Agent Bostick, I instruct a course on officer safety involving railroads. Although I do not know the circumstances of your death...I do know the hazards of your unique profession. Your memory is honored by each officer in every class I teach. God bless.
