Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pride and pain are forever.
Rest In Peace

Alex was my brother and a wonderful person. He was loved by our Sheriff's Department and they have shown what a family they are. Their support during our loss has been phenomenal. I am thankful for our officers every day and pray for their safety. I miss my brother deeply but I have seen how he touched others' lives through his job. Thank you Haralson County Sheriff's Office and all officers who serve our country.

For Deputy Sheriff Rayford Alexander (Alex) Roberts:
Our duty as law officers takes us onto one of the most dangerous of battlefields - a United States highway. Some times it is simple traffic crash that looms above our person waiting to strike, as much as any peril we might face during our tour-of-duty. We regret that our brother Alex would become the next statistic in this common, seemingly obscure, but too-often repeated occurence.
We pray for Alex's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the time of need.
I am proud to render Deputy Alex Roberts a final salute.

Alex, I'm sorry for your untimely passing. I helped investigate your crash. It was really an odd feeling knowing that I had gone all through school with you, then worked along side you in the law enforcement field, and then investigating your crash. It really made no sense. I ran into your mother the other day as she was having your uniforms cleaned. I didn't have the words to comfort her but I told her that I would pray for her. I hope you rest in peace. I hope you will watch over us as we take it from here ! May GOD Bless your family.
