To my law enforcement sister, thankyou for your dedication and service to the correctional field of law enforcement. It takes a strong will and mind to do this job. I know you did your job well and for that you are respected. Even though you are gone, your name and incident reached my department in Nevada. Rest in Peace you are not forgotten....
You gave the altimate sacrafice to your community. I ask you watch over the rest of us in corrections in all 50 states. You and your family in my prayers.

Dear family, friends, and coworkers of Jayme Biendl. This is the anniversary of our daughter Lakewood Officer, Tina Griswold's death (Eternally on Watch nov. 29, 2009). It has now been 2 years and how our hearts ache for you for we are traveling that road too. Jayme was a wonderful officer and a truly good person and she is missed, but she will never be forgotten. May God comfort you until you see her again.

I have worked for the Washington DOC for almost twenty-four years. I was on duty the night Jayme was stabbed at the WSRU Chapel, approximately 500 yards from where my post was. I never knew Jayme [ there are over 600 uniformed staff at Monroe Correctional Complex which has five separate facilities ] but everyone I heard from who did know her spoke glowingly of her professionalism and attention to detail as an officer. I attended Jayme's memorial service at Comcast Arena in Everett on 08 Feb 2011. My thanks to ALL officers from many different agencies [even a contingent of C/O's from Vancouver, Canada honored Jayme's memory by coming to the memorial] who travelled long distances to attend. It is my hope that the murderous cretin who strangled Jayme with the microphone cord in the WSRU Chapel will soon be having a ''fireside chat'' with all the other low-lifes...One can only hope..But then, this is the Peoples Republic of Western Washington where we are so ''open minded'' that our brains have leaked out

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Biendl. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.
From reading the reflections left for Jayme, she sounds like she was a great woman with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew her in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Jayme's life and the WOMAN that she was. Remember that Jayme's life was about so much more than the way she died. Jayme will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.
Officer Biendl, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been eight years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.
Wishing you brighter and better days,
Jocelyne :)

The Federal investigation starts on Monday. I hope that there is justice and that things are changed in how they run things in the prisons. No other officer should have to suffer like you did because no one wants to listen when there are concerns. Your memory will live on and we will never let the government forget the sacrifice you made to keep the public safe. RIP hero!

It was with a heavy heart that we heard the news. My son is currently serving time in MSU and this affected us all. It is one thing to give of yourself, to commit to serving the people in the manner Jayme did and another to have to lose your life while working. I cannot imagine the grief of losing a daughter so young and my sincere thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends of Jayme Biendl. I believe she was a fighter and has found a wonderful place in Heaven. God Bless.

If today is to be THE DAY, so be it.
If you seek to do battle with me this day,
you will receive the best that I am capable of giving.
It may not be enough, but it will be everything that
I have to give and it will be impressive, for I
have constantly prepared myself for this day.
I have trained, drilled, and rehearsed my actions
so that I might have the best chance of defeating you.
I have kept myself in peak physical condition,
schooled myself in the martial skills and have
become proficient in the application of combat tactics.
You may defeat me, but you will pay a severe price
and will be lucky to escape with your life.
You may kill me, but I am willing to die if necessary.
I do not fear Death, for I have been close enough to it
on enough occasions that it no longer concerns me.
But I do fear the loss of my Honor and would rather die
fighting than to have said that I was without courage.
So, I WILL FIGHT YOU,
no matter how insurmountable it may seem
and to the death if need be,
in order that it may never be said of me that I was not a WARRIOR!
