John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I didn't know Officer Pomales but today I participated in The Heroes Ride, a bike ride in Montgomery, TX organized by the Texas Wheels of Justice, which raises awareness about Police Officers being killed in the line of duty. Every rider wore the name of one officer who has paid the ultimate price.

I wore Officer Pomales' name on the 50 mile ride and I'm glad I could honor his memory in this very small way.

Dear Family of Corrections Officer Casimiro Maximino Pomales,

I am a support member of The Police Unity Tour.
During the tour this year I will be wearing a memorial bracelet in honor and rememberance of Corrections Officer Pomales.

I have read the many reflections sent by friends and strangers. I hope it is of some comfort that so many people care and share the pain of your loss.

There was a quote left in a reflection that said, " There is no tougher job in law enforcement than that of a Corrections Officer." That tells me that Corrections Officer Pamales was a hero.

I will be at the NLEOM around 2:00pm May 12, 2012 when the Police Unity Tour bicycles into the Memorial after 3 days and approximately 250 miles on the road. I will look for you near Corrections Officer Pamales' name and will be happy and proud to present you with the memorial bracelet that carries his name.

We are so proud to support, honor and remember Officer Pamales along with the other heroes whose names grace the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial walls.

Sincerely, Mary Young

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Pomales. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Casimiro, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Casimiro's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Casimiro's life was about so much more than the way he died. Casimiro will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Officer Pomales, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been eight years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

For Corrections Officer Casimiro Pomales:

The duty of the law officer and the corrections officer is fraught with risk and danger. One of these risks lurks where we sometimes are not enough aware - on that battlefield called a United States highway. We who are recognized as in control sometimes become victims of something that is beyond this perception and the cost is high. We regret that our brother Casimiro would become a statistic in what tomorrow could hold for any of us in a motor vehicle in traffic.

We pray for Casimiro's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.

I am proud to render a final salute for Corrections Officer Casimiro Pomales.

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss.
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow
May your heart and soul find peace and comfort.
May the blessings of love be upon you,
May its peace abide with you,
May its essence illuminate your heart,
Now and forever more
Hold tight to memories for comfort,
lean on your friends for strength,
and always remember how much you are cared about.
We pray the love of God enfolds you during your difficult times
and he helps you heal with the passage of time.
May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.
Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow.
Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven
where the love of our lost ones pours through
and shines down upon us to let us know that are happy.
